The auctions work as follows:
Place bids by pressing the BID button
- The last bidder is displayed at the top of the bidders list - we have introduced Anonymity bidding - this feature will protect and secure your Bid 2 Win Account from Identity Theft. When you bid your bids will only be disclosed to yourself everyone else will only see the first and last digit/letter of your username.
-
The timer counts down towards the auction closing and when a bid is place it adds between 5 and 30 seconds to the clock, if there are no new bids placed then the auction will finish and the last bidder will win the auction.
-
We have now changed to the new timers to ensure that auctions do not go on for an extended period of time, what this means is that the clock with only go to the preset time (between 5 and 30 seconds) it will not continually add 5 to 30 seconds per bid made, if multiple bids are made at the one time e.g. 5 bids the clock will only go to say 15 seconds opposed to the old timers which would add 10 seconds per bid - 5 bids would add 50 seconds to the clock.
- The Member who places the last bid when the time reaches zero wins the auction and buys the product for this price or if the auction has exceeded 10% of the RRP our Guarantee will be enforced and the final auction price will be discounted to 10% of the listed RRP, please note this does not include the cost of the bids used to win the auction these are additional to the ending price on the auction - further details are under the Help Section.
- You purchase a "bid package" through one of our secure payment options. When you have purchased a bid package the bids are added to your account and you can then place bids on the auctions which are running, there are no refunds on bid packages.
- To be able to participate in these auctions you need to be over the age of 18 to join bid2win.com.au.
NB: the official timer is located on our servers and this is the one which will be used to determine the finishing time of the auction, the one shown on your computer is maintained locally and it is based on information which our server sends to you. There may be at times a slight delay in displaying the latest information this is largely due to your machine receiving the information from our server and this information is not delivered to your machine 'instantaneously therefore only the timer maintained on our servers is taken into account to decide which bids are valid and when the auction ends.
