BID2WIN frequently asked questions

1 How Can I win?

It's Easy....

All you need to do is SMS the code and your bid to the number listed in the advertisement. Our computer system will be checking all the bids and will return messages with the status of your bid. If your bid is the lowest and unique by the end date, YOU WIN. In other words if your Bid is the lowest, but other people have bid the same as you, then you do not win, but if your bid is the lowest that no one else has bid You WIN.

 For Example

If you Bid 8 cents for an IPOD, which was the lowest Bid but there is another BID for 8 cents, you do not win as your Bid is not unique. We will then look at the next lowest Bid to see if it is unique. If it is unique that person wins the Brand new IPOD.

If you Bid 8 cents for an IPOD, which was the lowest Bid and no one else placed a bid for the same amount, then your bid is the lowest unique bid! and you win the Brand new IPOD.

How is this possible?

Our revenue comes from the SMS fees charged for each bid you place. Thus we can sell the products at a lower price. Our risk is to not have enough bids to cover our costs, but you shouldn't worry about it.

Summary:

The successful bidder (i.e.: the bidder that wins) will be the one that makes the LOWEST UNIQUE BID (i.e.: the lowest bid that is different to all other bids).

Anyone can win brand new items by making bids in cents. Bidding starts at 1 cent.

3 What is a unique bid?

Unique means to be one of a kind, so a unique bid is one where no other bidder has placed a bid for the same amount.

4 What do you mean by "the lowest unique bid"?

If there were five Bids, two for 2 cents, one for 5 cents, two for 6 cents. Who would win?

The two bids for 2 cents are certainly the lowest, but each bid is not unique (they are both for 2 cents)

The bid for 5 cents is not the lowest, but it is the lowest bid that is unique (all others lower are not unique)

The Key to this action is that once there are two bids of the same value then that value cannot succeed as it is not unique
